Pilot’s FriXion pens write smoothly and can be erased just as easily as a pencil, thanks to the use of a special thermo-sensitive gel ink that disappears with friction. They are fabulous pens for general household use and even great to give your kids when they are doing their homework.
My son likes to break the tips of his pencils to get out of doing a difficult assignment. Now, I simply hand him a black FriXion pen and he has no excuse not to get his homework done!
The FriXion Clicker improves upon the design of the original FriXion pen by eliminating the pen cap in favor of a retractable tip. Since my cat always loves to run off with my pen caps, this is a very important feature for me.
While I’ve basically stopped using other kinds of pens, it did take me awhile to get used to one unique feature of the FriXion Clicker. Since the tip of the pen is actually the eraser for when you make a mistake with your writing, the clicking mechanism is in the clip of the pen. Attempting to click the top of the pen repeatedly is a surprisingly hard habit to break.
